Project: TRX-4 - The 4WD Buggy Traxxas Never Made

Preface

From the very beginning of my foray into the world of R/C, I have been completely enthralled by the offroad side of the sport. I did try my hands at onroad racing with a 4-TEC back in the Summer of 2001, but it wasn't long before I threw some deep-treaded tires on it and drove it as a rally car. Fairly disappointed with the results, I put the car aside for nearly two years before completing a thorough rally conversion on it in Q1 2003. Though I am a fan of rally racing, the still limited offroad abilities of these cars had already led me to make a rash decision that would alter the course of my history in R/C. I would convert my 4-TEC into the very first Traxxas 4WD buggy.
