Day 6, 1/03/02: A Bit of Everything
![]() |
After losing a day to other tasks, this day would be an interesting one. I'd had a ton of activity all around the site & forums, so I hadn't been able to do a great deal of work in the "shop." I did, however, get a great new tool that would allow me to cut out the Bandit chassis and shock towers with great ease. Who knew what else I'd end up using it for!
Speaking of the Bandit, I started working on the shocks, but did not complete them. I also received my new (actually old, white nylon "TRX Pro") Blue Eagle rear a-arm mounts to replace the integrated ones I Dremeled off of the tranny halves on Day 4. This would let me give the car some toe-in in the rear.
I was able to start designing the shock towers on paper and I also got some aluminum stock to use for chassis standoffs.
Day 7, 1/04/02
Didn't get a lot done this day. I could only work in the evenings on weekdays, and I spent this Friday eve hanging out with friends.
