Day 2, 12/30/01: Scorched Earth

Today I finished tearing the whole thing down into its constituent pieces and throwing away the completely useless or irrepairably damaged components & hardware. Not much was left! I was hoping to at least reuse the wheels, but the previous owner used some sort of odd glue that I couldn't dissolve with any solvent on hand, so those had to be tossed out as well.
I figured out a plan for dealing with the gearbox (which was actually in excellent shape), and my parts for my new shocks were ready. With any luck, I hoped to be attacking one of those two sections of the car the next day.
I cannot get over how badly this buggy was abused.
